When I was in College studying music, I created a great strategy for really learning the fretboard, learning chords, chord harmony, scales and more. What I did was assign a key to a day. For example make Monday C major day, Tuesday would be G major day, Wednesday D major day etc. On those days I would really focus on playing everything I possibly could in that key and only that key. I’d play as many scales, chords, arpeggios and anything else I could think of in that key. That strategy really helped me get strong command of the fretboard and was also a lot of fun. This week try assigning a key to each day and really work on mastering all possible scales, chords and arpeggios in that key and watch your playing reach a new level!
