This is an easy exercise that will help you to flow with your playing. Chose any two-octave scale. As you play it ascending, inhale. Then play it descending and exhale. Practice doing this for 10 – 15 minutes at a time, breathing with your playing. You will notice a sense of relaxation, you will feel looser and free. This is a great exercise to use as a warm up before a performance. You will relieve anxiety and tension and your performance will flow so much better!
